We have been offering Centrepay for Childcare fees for about 10 years now and for rates about 5 years.
The rates payments came about following a circular from the OLG recommending Centrepay as an option to help manage debt, we monitored those that signed up and found it to be purely transitional, that is people were paying just by another method. in the last twelve months we received around 480 payments, 260 Childcare, 188 Rates and 32 Debtors.
We don’t have an agreement for debtors but that doesn’t stop people paying onto their rates and/or Childcare account then requesting a transfer across. Most recently we have seen an increase in the error rate in customer payments supposedly set up for rates but applied to Childcare. Customers advise that they have tried to make changes however it is difficult to do so.
Operationally its easy to setup in Pathway and is just another import at the end of the day.
