We have been having the same discussion her in the Snowy Monaro Region. Owners with multiple properties classified as farmland are going to be impacted heavily with FESL.
Owners have made inquiries pertaining to vacant land and why is there no reduction of the FESL however other classifications do. Good point!
We provide the relevant details and instruct them to contact NSW Treasury. To date owners are understanding that this is not being introduced by council, however after 1 July, I don’t believe this attitude will continue.
