We have also received the same invitation. We have had an initial discussion only with Revenue NSW.
They have a set fee for each account and this is dependant on the quantity submitted to them. And will not take on only a small amount of debts to be recovered.
I was told they have councils who do this but could not find on website supplied by them.
The flat fee set by them and payable by Council is apparently not recoverable and cannot be passed on to the ratepayer.
I am interested if you got any feedback from other Councils, if this is a viable option, pro’s and cons etc.
