552 – Water charge – strata properties

      So, I have a newly completed multi story strata property, which contains 9 residential properties and 4 business properties.

      Only 2 water meters are connected to the property, with internal meters sorting out the consumption.

      My question is….do we charge a water supply charge under sec 552 to each of the residential and business assessments?? Or do we only levy a water charge to the body corporate.

      Just wondering what other Councils do.

        Hi Emma
        We charge a 20mm charge to each strata unit in accordance with the Best Practice Management of Water Supply and Sewerage guidelines (appendix B) Topic 3.
        If it is a residential torrens title we apply a 20mm charge x the number of flats.
        The same applies to business units.
