      Hi Everyone,
Walcha Council took up the one month delay for Op Plan and Budget planning, so Revenue Policy will be adopted by 1st August with a 1st instalment due date of 30 September 2020.
603 certificates that need to be issued in that time frame??? What do I do??
Is it possible to issue them with the proposed 2020-2021 levy amounts listed with a with a disclaimer saying the rates & charges haven’t been adopted by Council but will be adopted by 1st August?

Randwick is in the same position as Walcha Leonie. I’ve briefly thought about this gap period and the impact on 603’s but haven’t come up with a plan of attack yet. I’ll let you know what we come up with (short of asking applicants to wait where possible) soon.

        Regards

          Hi Leonie,

Firstly, I’d contact the common and frequent applicants and let them know that you won’t have the rates levied until xx/xx/20. I would suggest to them that they only make applications during July if they are settling in July and I would send each of them a link to the draft Op Plan.

Secondly, I would not put the proposed levy amount on the certificate. I would note that the 2020/21 rates are not yet levied and that prospective owners are advised that they will be levied on xx/xx/20. I would also note that the draft Op Plan can be viewed at www…….

          Good luck.
