      Good Morning,
Council is selling a block of land for unpaid rates. The Real Estate firm that has been engaged to conduct the auction is a new firm and within their tender they will advertise the property (at no charge) – my question is – What (if any) reference should be made to Council or the LG Act in their advertising? (Council has advertised in the Gazette & local papers as per the Act) Thanks Sue

        Hi Sue

I’m not aware of any requirement either way. Our agent does included reference to Sec 713 LGA & the fact they are acting under instructions from Council. I think the agent might want to mention it because the owners will likely see the ad.
If you would like to email me, I can send a copy of one of our recent ones (ian.clayton@midwestern.nsw.gov.au).

        Cheers
        Ian
