We have gone to contract for a) Credit Card payments by internet and phone and b) EFTPOS, cash, cheque and money order over the counter.

Could I get some feedback on whether your council also;
1. goes to tender or,
2. goes to request for quotes (RFQ),
3. none of the above as part of banking tender process or,
4. other process.

Morning Andrew,

At Wollongong a) Credit Card payments by internet and phone is separate to our banking contract and we have just recently as in February this year completed a successful tender for 3 years with optional one plus one year extensions.

b) EFTPOS, cash, cheque and money order over the counter is held under our current banking contract that still has a few years left, we would conduct a similar tender process when the time comes.

Hi Andrew,
Northern Beaches Council – option 1 – Our current banking tender was done in 2018 for the merged council and all the payment options were all included in our scope.
I’m unsure if money order was included expressly, but very rare just the same, so not sure if we have had one in many years.
