      Hi All,

I was wanting to ask if anyone has a charge for the reissue of 603 certificates?

Every week I think we get at least 5 calls from Infotrack claiming they haven’t received certificates, even though they have been processed and sent. A couple of times the caller has let slip they haven’t really bothered to check with the rest of the office if the certificate has been received. I’d really like to introduce a fee to deter them from ringing rather than doing a bit of legwork first.

      Thanks

      Jason

Hi Jason, we introduced a charge of $22 to reissue a 603 certificate a couple of years ago due to Infotrack. We were receiving 5+ calls a week from them also even for certificates that had been emailed to them attention to a specific person.
We don’t have an issue now as they seem to be locating the emails rather than phoning us for copies.
          Thanks,
          Simone

            Hi Simone & Suzy,

Thanks for letting me know about those charges. Our CFO is happy to know others are also charging. Simone, as you know, Jenny is happy to for any additional income streams, especially when it comes to situations like these.

            Cheers, and thanks

            Jason

              Shellharbour

              Hi Jason
Shellharbour City Council used to experience this all the time, until we decided to include the address of the property in the subject of our emailed 603 certificates to infotrack. Now when they call, we locate the email with the 603 certificate and confirm it was emailed and suggest they check the particular date in their emails. We found by doing this, and not reissuing at their demand, that the staff at infotrack have stopped calling us.
              Good Luck
              Carla

                Canterbury-Bankstown

                Hi Jason,
Canterbury-Bankstown has a fee for re-issuing but have not had to use it. Once we starting telling them there was a charge to re-issue, they started looking for the emails.
We also do the same as Shellharbour, in that when we email “paper” certificates we put the property description in the subject line and register our sent emails in records management.
This has definitely helped reduce the calls we get.
                Andrea
