      Hi Everyone
I gotten some feedback regarding the process and just want to set out what the steps are:

Properties to be classified by 31 December 2016. In reality you have until 15 February 2017 when you are require to provide your classifications to the valuer general.

Also prior to sending your classifications to the valuer general you should have also loaded your 2016 Base Date general revaluation that you were scheduled for or have requested. If you haven’t received or been able to load your GVal then just go with what you have but contact the VG and let them know prior to sending so they are aware.

        Hi Robert,
Do we have to request a 2016 revaluation – I thought it would be automatic given the ESPL requirements?

          Hi David

Councils need to request a 2016 reval from the VG where they weren’t already scheduled to receive one, you would have received an email from the VG regarding this.
The legislation doesn’t require the VG to issue until after it is enacted.

mmmm, might need to follow that up with the VG. so if you haven’t asked for a reval (for whatever reason) how are you meant to comply with the legislation?

              Hi David

After the legislation is enacted the VG is required to furnish a valuation list. Have a look at page 87 of the draft legislation.
