Collection of postponed rates

      Queanbeyan City (Queanbeyan-Palerang)

      I have a property that has postponed rates on it. This property has now been developed by the existing owners and now has 3 units on the property. I am at a loss to find the section of the Act that allows me to recover the last 5 years of postponed rates on this property. Can anyone assist?

        LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 – SECT 597
        Entitlement to postponement ceases
        597 Entitlement to postponement ceases
        “A person ceases to be entitled to a postponement of rates under this Division if the whole of a parcel of land used or occupied solely as a site for a single dwelling-house, or as rural land, ceases to be so used or occupied.”
