The 2020 Annual Conference will be going ahead.
The following has been issued by the Australian Government.
Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) coronavirus (COVID-19) statement on 8 March 2020
Recommendations by the AHPPC with regard to public events:
“As of 8th March 2020, the AHPPC advises that the risk to the general Australian population from COVID-19 is low “
“At this time the AHPPC consider that public events should proceed “
“Australia does not have evidence of significant transmission currently, therefore cancellation of public gatherings – at this time – would not be proportionate nor particularly effective “
Would you be going to work?
If you were not going to the conference would you still go to work? If the answer is yes then you are safe to attend the 2020 conference.
