Our Council is looking to implement a green waste collection service, for which we have received government funding to assist establish. It is proposed to implement this charge part way through the rating year. After careful perusal of the LGA, our Finance Manager cannot see any impediment to Council doing this, provided the charge is advertised & then adopted as usually occurs for the annual rates & charges. However, she has asked me to run this by the RPs for your opinions/ advice.
