      Hi,

Just wondering what information everyone provides on their instalment notices – do you advise of any arrangements, direct debits or pension rebates on Instalment notices? Or purely just the instalment amount and due date?

      Thanks,

        Hi Courtney

We don’t note on the instalment notices if the ratepayer has and arrangement nor do we advise pensioners of rebates via instalment notices. On the back of our notices we do say Details of pensioner rebates will not be included on Instalment or Reminder notices.

With Direct debits we have a notation on the instalment remittance slip. Direct Debit – Do not pay. We don’t do Direct debits for reminder notices.

          Hi Courtney,
We Have literals on our instalment notices advising if the account is subject to an arrangement, direct debit and/or pension rebate.
We don’t provide these literals on our reminder notices.
          Thanks

            Hi Courtney,

Newcastle’s position is similar to Brad’s. We have literal messages indicating the type of Direct Debit (quarterly, monthly, fortnightly) and if a pension rebate has been applied to the rate account.

None of these literals is applied to the Reminder Notices.

              Hi Courtney,

We are the same as Brad and Mick.

              Regards
              Pete

                Hi Courtney,

Canterbury-Bankstown (CBCity) has direct debit notation on Instalment Notices. We don’t have anything regarding arrangements or pension rebates. Although, our Customer Service Team are always asking us to include a pension rebate notification on the instalment notice, because that is what they get a lot of calls about at instalment time. I am stilling trying to work out a way for Pathway to be able to extract that info in our Notice extract.

                  Hi Andrea,

In a previous life I worked at a Council using Pathway – at that time pensioner and arrangement indicators were not available on the notice extract however we would extract that detail separately (via Query into a csv file). We would provide those files to the mailing house (with the notice extract file) to apply literals re arrangements and there being a pensioner concession in place etc.
A little bit of work to set up initially but after that just a couple of extra steps (max 5 minutes extra) 3 times year when producing instalment notices – and it helped maintain a healthy relationship with our Customer Service colleagues.

                    Hi Darryl,
Thanks for the info. Pension information now sit in NAR as a beneficiary role, and it doesn’t historicise it when a rebate is written back, so I’m not sure how easy it will be able to extract with a query. But I will ask my IT person to have a look at it, or if something can be written using InfoMart.
                    Thanks
                    Andrea
