Please find below some further information regarding the Emergency Services Property Levy:
• At the end of 2016, the Valuer General wrote to all councils to encourage them to request the issue of 2016 land values for their council area. A large majority of councils have already requested this, but some councils have not yet. The early receipt of 2016 land values will provide councils with as much time as possible for rates modelling and to prepare for the issuing of rates and the ESPL based on new valuations. Please contact Tara Vergara-Lopes, Office of the Valuer General on 02 8258 7576 or at tara.vergara-lopes@ovg.nsw.gov.au to nominate a preferred timeframe for delivery of the valuation list.
• Don’t forget to let Kevin Pugh (kevin.pugh@treasury.nsw.gov.au) know of your councils choice of ESPL cost reimbursement method (formula or cost recording) for each of the ESPL cost heads by no later than 31 January 2017.
