Hi everyone,
We’ve had a number of minor LGA boundary changes over recent years which have taken quite a long period of time to complete. These have been LGA boundary adjustments often involving a small number, or a single ratepayer, where a small part of a property is in our area and the bulk of the ratepayers land in an adjoining LGA (or vica versa). Some have taken two years or longer to complete the OLG process.
I’m interested to know if others have experienced similar extended delays in completing minor LGA boundary changes.
There’s a review currently underway into the Local Government Boundaries Commission. The RP Executive are considering making a submission raising this issue. If your Council has experienced this, Could you please post the details here? Responses by Monday 7th Dec. would be extremely useful.
Following is the URL to the current review.
