Hi all,

I have been asked to investigate whether any Councils are holding date of birth information to identify the customer in the NAR.

Could you please let me know what your council does it would be appreciated.

We don’t hold it at Randwick Trace

Blue Mountains were including these details when known. Found it was handy especially for pensioners.
New Council that I have just started at Lithgow is not keeping the details.

Blacktown will hold them if we have them but don’t chase them.

Hi Tracey
Northern Beaches does request and hold them in our NAR as much as people are willing. Used to try keep the NAR clear of duplicates.
We also request this in our pension concession application, as we have a voluntary rebate that applied to pensioners under retirement age

Berrigan Shire does not collect DOB’s

Fairfield does request DOB’S and phone numbers when confirming information over the phone and it is included in the Change of Name and Address application. This is good for all record keeping for the organization and it is extremely helpful in the NAR/Debt Recovery process – clearing of duplications/chasing up overdue Rates and Charges.
