Hi all

Wollondilly Shire Council has received an application for exemption for rating from the Animal Welfare League as a not-for-profit charitable organisation. They own a property in our LGA which they lease to an animal rescue group. Income generated is put back into the organisation for projects such as discounted desexing, animal fostering etc.

If your Council has an animal welfare group in its LGA that is currently exempt from rating, could you please contact me either on this forum or via e-mail (andrew.elliott@wollondilly.nsw.gov.au).

Hi Andrew

Penrith City Council has a property owned by the The NSW Animal Welfare League that we exempt from rating. It is used a an animal shelter and veterinary surgery.
