Here in Cabonne we’ve gotten our first transfer notice for a house being purchased by NSW Reconstruction Authority as part of the flood voluntary purchase scheme.
I’m just wondering if this will automatically convert the property to being non-rateable, or if we should go ahead with raising rates for the 2025-2026 financial year? The property has a bin service and pays sewer access charges to us; I would think that even if it becomes non-rateable, we would still be charging the bin service and sewer charges up until the house is demolished.
