Good morning all,
Penrith City Council is reviewing our payment option via cheque. I was wondering if any Council no longer accepts payment by cheque through the mail or over the counter.

Hi Dana,
Wollongong still accept cheques across all our collection sites, at this stage there is no mention of changing. We are trying to phase out people paying by cash and although we have EFTPOS, we don’t allow card not present transactions over the phone. But we are currently working on both the process and policy to introduce that, so I can only assume that cheques will remain for a little while yet.
