      Evening all,

How have people classified car spaces / garages that are owned in a strata but where the owner does not own another lot in the strata?

I am thinking it will default to commercial but not sure about whether vacant or non-vacant as definition of vacant on FESL website is:-
“the land is residential land, industrial land or commercial land, and
there are no buildings or structures on the land that are being used or that could be used for a residential, industrial or commercial purpose, and
the land is not being used for storage or treatment of goods, materials or any other thing, and
the land and any use of the land meets any other requirements for sub-classification as vacant land specified in the regulations.”

Also have people started designing their notices yet?

      David

        Hi David
In my opinion Commercial (non-vacant), storage of a motor vehicle.
I am going with a new notice, the layout I have copied from Wollongong City Council.
        Hope this is helpful.
        Regards,
        Andrew

            Hi David,

In this circumstance we categorise as Business for rating purposes and have classified as Commercial for FESL.
