      Hello fellow Revenue Professionals,

Service NSW are now apparently informing their customers

that some Shire Councils extend the privilege of a rates concession to holders of the Seniors Health Card.

I would appreciate it, if any councils that are granting a pensioner concession to those only holding a Seniors Health Card to confirm this practice.

      Thank you

        Hi Pete,

No, the City doesn’t extend a concession to holders of the Seniors Card.

Sometimes customers might misunderstand the information provided to them but if you have more details, multiple instances or evidence of Service NSW making this statement, the Exec will take it up with Service NSW.

Feel free to give me a call.

          Howdy Pete

Definitely not the case at Blue Mountains. We do not extend a pension concession to holders of the Seniors Card.

Agree with Suzi. A case of the customer misunderstanding the information that has been provided to them by NSW Service.

If it is found that Sevice NSW are providing incorrect information it deinfitely needs to be taken up with them in a timely basis.

          Regards
          Trevor

            Hi Pete,

Blacktown doesn’t accept the seniors health care cards to grant a rebate either.

            Thanks
            Brad
