I am interested to hear from Councils that have Crown Land managed by the South Coast Crown Reserves Holiday Accommodation Trust and if you consider these Rateable or Non Rateable.

Council previously managed these caravan parks until they were handed back to Crown a few years ago.

One out of the three parks is currently leased and we levy rates accordingly. However, the other two do not have a lease or licence agreement and are currently Non Rateable in our system. I am interested to see what others do who may be in the same situation or any opinions you have.

      Many thanks.

        Hi Lisa

Section 560 says Crown land is rateable if leased, no lease no rates.

Looking at them on the web it looks like they are part of the NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust which manage of behalf of the crown so I can see why no lease exists.

Hi Lisa We have 5 of these in the same situation handed back from Council a few years ago now in the name of NSW CROWN HOLIDAY PARKS TRUST. We rate them all & have never had any queries.
