      Hi all

I have received a request from Valuation Services requesting an update on our readiness to receive data based on a single amalgamated LGA.

Just wondering if any of the amalgamated councils have taken this up yet?
If you have, what problems if any has this created for you ?
What steps have you taken to overcome this?

I’m not sure if taking this up just yet is ideal. Your comments would be appreciated.

      Cheers

Hi Glynes, I wrote back & advised them that we are definitely not ready to receive amalgamated data as we are still operating under 3 separate rating systems & will be for some time yet. We are still having a few issues with our supps balancing if the Vg’s miss mapping any of the properties on the supp to the former council the totals don’t balance.

        Regards

            Hi Glynes
We have informed them the same. Definitely not ready for this to proceed. However we have another issue which I will post separately.

This has been added as a separate enquiry as well

              Morning All
Three former shires, Snowy River Shire, Cooma Monaro and Bombala Councils amalgamated and to date we are in receipt of separate supplementary files.
              HOWEVER!!!!!
In March 2018, Valuation Services provided the former Cooma, Bombala and Snowy Districts with a supplementary listing which included ALL properties. Former Snowys sup list contained over 7,300 pages. Since these have been issued, staff cannot reconcile the supps to the sytems.
Enquiries have been made as to why this has occurred and we have been informed by VS for Council to review the supp list from March!!!!
Prior to taking this further with Valuation Services, is there any other council/s experiencing a problem with reconciling data from VS?
In addition, is there any council that imports the supplementary listing straight into their software? If so what system are you using?
              Regards
