Just a quick question – which Councils charge an Urgency fee for the issue of Section 603 certificates? If so – what is the fee? Also if available how did you calculate the fee?

We charge $51. Rarely used as most certs are turned around within 48 hours.
This is a standard urgency fee for a number of other charges as well.
Not sure how it originally was set, but it is increased annually in line with Council’s corporate increase to all fees and charges each year.

Blue Mountains charges an urgency fee of $67.00. It does get used even though we try to have Certificates turned around quickly.
Like Ken I am not sure how this figure was originally arrived at, but it is increased annually in line with other fee and charge increases.

Currently $68 at Randwick but just like everyone else we rarely use as turn over certificates in 24-48 hrs. Not sure how it was originally set – we just index each year. It is the same price as other urgency fees (eg; 149 certs).

Like everyone else we have a urgency fee not sure how it was calculated and it is currently $15.50, but it doesn’t get used as turnaround time is usually 24-48 hours anyway

Hi Michael, our urgency fee is $70.00 and we receive a number of requests due to the delay in receiving applications by post. Certificates will only be emailed if the urgency fee is paid. I am not sure how it was calculated but think it used to be the same price as the certificate on top of the certificate itself.

We don’t have an urgency fee as we issue next day, however we do charge an electronic delivery fee of $20.
