      Hi guys,
Looking for feedback on whether Council can put a charge on the land (which would be recoverable on the sale of property) for a building demolition that we contract out?
S.603 LGA specifically refers to “(c) the work carried out on the land by the council and the cost that may be recovered from the owner or occupier for the work” as being recoverable, but does this mean ONLY work “by the Council” as opposed to work contracted out by Council?
      All feedback appreciated,
      Cheers,
      Susan

        Susan,
I don’t think it matters who actually carried out the work, as long as it was commissioned by the Council on behalf of the Council.
