          Hi Jeanette,

Our Farmland assessments have optional garbage service collection. Though if they choose to have a general waste they must also have a recycling bin as well. We have some farmland areas where the collection truck cannot access so they don’t have the option for a service at all. Some have to take their bins to the main road for collection. Before we agree to add a new service, we make sure that it is in an area where the truck can service or is currently (so he isn’t driving 10km just for one pick up for instance). We don’t have any issues with this optional service though.

Thanks Robert, Was just a little confused because I rang DVA and they said that there are two types of cards, a DVA Health Card and a DVA Card, both can have TPI on it, but they said that the DVA Health Card (even with TPI) doesn’t give the holders access to many rebates in NSW.

                Hi Megan,

I don’t adjust upon settlement, I just amend so the next rate levy will reflect the full land value. So basically the new owner gets the benefit for the remainder of the rating year. Not sure if that’s correct or not, but I don’t part year rate (ie for subdivisions, etc) so have taken the same philosophy on Section Allowances to try to be consistent (ie levy is whatever the LVs are at the time of 1 July).
