        Hi Karen
Just wondering if you ended up granting the rebate or denying it? We have had a few claims lately asking for the pension to be back-dated quite a few years and i was hoping to get some advice on letter wording to knock these back?
        Thanks Carla

          Hi Simone
Do you have a contact name or email address for Post Billpay? We would like to look into sneding back unallocated payments to them too.
          thanks Carla

            Hi Jason
Shellharbour City Council used to experience this all the time, until we decided to include the address of the property in the subject of our emailed 603 certificates to infotrack. Now when they call, we locate the email with the 603 certificate and confirm it was emailed and suggest they check the particular date in their emails. We found by doing this, and not reissuing at their demand, that the staff at infotrack have stopped calling us.
            Good Luck

              Hi Andrea
Shellharbour City Council will only accept change of address in writing, whether it be on our own Council Change of Address Form, or in an email whereby the email address can easily be associated with the owner on the title.
We will also add a managing agent if the real estate can confirm the ownership as per the title deeds, and where appropriate we request to see a copy of their managing agent agreement.
if a non-owner requests to change the address then we request legal documents such as power of attorney or a will.

Hi Trevor, At Shellharbour City Council we offer Weekly. Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Direct Debits from Savings Accounts.

I have a question for all Council’s offering Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly Direct Debits – Do you charge interest if the quarter is not paid in full by it’s due date, even if the direct debit was calculated to have the full years rates paid in full by 31 May the following year?

For our new Direct Debit Customers who take up the DD plan during August (for example), when they start paying weekly, fortnightly or monthly, the first quarter is never paid by the due date (and usually the second isn’t either) unless they pay a lump sum. We charge interest even if on a direct debit plan but are looking at reviewing this…

Any comments would be most helpful
                Thank you, Carla

                      Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering how many Councils have ceased using Australia Post as a payment option?
                      Thank you

Hi, SCC are currently undertaking a Farmland Review and we have one ratepayer who submits the same figures on her application form each year. She has stated that she has not completed her Tax return yet, and there are no financial documents supporting her application. In the past it seems she has always been approved based on the figures she writes on her form, however, I would like to see some actual financial documents to support her claim. I was wondering what other Council’s request in instances like this?

Hi Tracey, The BPay reversal is initiated by the ratepayer through their bank.
