Our Council has received the 2025 Base Date GVal file
Thanks Andrew –
Hi, everyone, I have had this as ongoing since our Supp list of 21/6/25 and continues on the recent Supp of 30/8/25.
I have reached out to the VG weekly to track the errors hoping the issue would have been resolved by now but no luck. Just curious to know if your Council has the same issue ongoing or has it been resolved? Our GM letter mysteriously disappeared though it showed as uploaded so had to resubmit. just a not if your Data has been verified as correct by their analytics team your file is moved to your Councils history folder.
Emergency Services Levy Amendment Land Classification Bill 2024
The government’s Amendment (Land Classification) Bill 2024passed Parliament last week and will establish a mechanism for the removal of the ESL from both councils and insurance policies. The Bill was passed with one Opposition amendment, which inserts a recommendation that Parliament reimburse councils for the reasonable costs of exercising the land classification functions.

I received the same enquiry and will probably advise them to provide confirmation they comply with Section 600(5)Thanks Darryl
That is very useful information and thought that would be the case
Hi Andrew
Absolutely yes from Ku-Ring-Gai
Edwin
We are in the same situation as Cherie and being inundated with calls for Hardship relief due to job losses.
I expect we will either get direction from the State Gov and we are currently looking at the overall budget impact before a decision is made on relief accross all areas of Council.
