Hi Sue The merged Midcoast Council which is made up of the former Great Lakes, Greater Taree & Gloucester has around 55,000 assessments we will have 9 staff. This includes 1 debtors officer & 1 property officer (who does all the subdivisions, registers etc). We don’t currently have water but apparently MidCoast Water will be coming back to Council just waiting on the State Government not sure what’s going to happen then about staffing.
RegardsAfter reading the summary of changes to draft legislation is the whole assessment subject to a conservation agreement to be classified as public benefit land even if only say 50% is conservation?

I received a reply to some questions today as well
Licences from the crown to private individuals for things like jetties, moorings, wharfs, ramps, sheds relating to oyster farming purposes, they are not for the general public’s use just the lessee’s. Thanks Susan, We are going to prepare a letter to LPI setting out our concerns re the extra work & danger of missing transfers.
On another matter are we preparing to send out letters advising people paying by direct debits of the name change but are we supposed to send out new Pensioner Concession claim forms as well? -
