Thanks Andrew (only just saw your response) I told them that OLG said it was no longer required and they seemed ok with that but if they come back about it I will give them this info.
Hi Andrew,
Our auditors have just requested the signed Statement of Compliance, do you have an official notification from the OLG that it is no longer required to be signed by the GM that I can provide to our Auditors please?
Thanks
MichelleHi Andrew
I downloaded from the portal on 25 August and there are still some dates lower down on the previous year and current year pages that are not updated.
Thanks for confirming the GM certificate is no longer required, I don’t recall seeing any advice from OLG about that. The front page of the workpapers still has the box to fill in the Date Certified for Audit by General Manager so should this be removed too as the GM Certificate is no longer required?
Thanks
MichelleHello Andrew
There are still date errors in the workpapers and again this year there is no Statement of Compliance page for the GM to sign? Assuming that is still a requirement?
MichelleI did – they emailed requesting the GM Letter.
I responded and said that I uploaded them both at the same time and they came back to me and said they had located my files.
Hi Andrea, I think the Notes columns shown in the examples in the document are just an explanation to let us know what we should put in the apportionment and specified use columns for each specific example shown so we can understand what is required in those fields – I don’t think we need to put a note column in our spreadsheets.

The info on Page 9 of the manual 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 talks about dominant use so wouldn’t that make your properties COMNV as the dominant use?
Edit – just saw Deborah’s answer – agree 🙂

I think the definition of a Council for the purposes of the GOVT classification is actually referring to a Local Government Council.
My response from Revenue NSW regarding Aboriginal Land Council’s was that they are not GOVT or PUBLIC and should be classified RES or COMM.
Thanks Simone, that was my thought as well thank you for confirming the section of the act where this applies.
Regards
MichelleI also sent an enquiry for our land owned by Local Aboriginal Land Councils that are both vacant and developed and this was the response I received:
Aboriginal Land Councils are not Government owned entities so all land owned by a Local Aboriginal Land Council would not be classified as Government land, also all land owned would not meet the definition of Public Benefit Land.
Yes, developed properties should be classified either RESNV or COMNV and RESV or COMV for their vacant properties.
Hi everyone
I have a councillor questioning if we have a policy to charge the residents in manufactured home estates base charges for their property within the estate.
We don’t have a policy and do not charge this way – the one manufactured home estate we have is rated business with one base charge for the entire property.
Is anyone charging manufactured home estates this way? Is it even possible/correct to do that?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
MichelleHas anyone worked out or decided what the Local Aboriginal Land Councils should be classified – also we have SEARMS Aboriginal Corporation and another aboriginal corporation – wondering if anyone knows what these would be classified as as well. Thanks
Thanks Jenita, we also have many that that are rated residential with a dwelling.
Hi
We have been provided with MUAF for a property that has a residence and glamping tents.
I assumed the % would apply for rating but looking at the info above it appears that is not the case?
Can anyone give me any further detail on MUAF vs MDAF please? Can MUAF only be used to determine dominant use and not for mixed rating?
This owner is very difficult so any specific legislation you can point me to would be most appreciated.
Thank you
