We do quarterly here a Berrigan, we run confirmations/validations in 1st week of Sept, Dec, March and June. Letters are sent to those that flag ‘Not a Card Holder’ or Deceased Estates, advising the rebate will be removed, giving 21 days to reply, so rebates can be removed/updated before the generation of the instalment notice.

I would be interested is know how other Council’s interpret 747AB, whether demand letters from Debt Collection Agencies or, the commencement of legal action ie. Summons, is determined as, ‘proceeding for the recovery of rates or charges’

With the initial introduction of FESL, a new field had been entered into our rate cards for the Emergency Services (we use Practical Plus), and this has been kept up to date as new properties are created and properties are modified.

Hi All, we here at Berrigan Shire have our first solar farm under construction at the moment, the above replies have been very helpful with the categorisation, however, I’m interested in at what stage do you update the categorisation, i.e, approval of DA, Commencement of construction, completion of construction, commencement of new financial year (goodwill gesture)??
