      Hi Jeanette.
Yes, he should be charged a DWM of some sort. Does the ‘vacant land’ charge also double as an availability charge, if so, then I suggest this would be the charge to change it to. If not then my understanding is that he is up for the whole charge this year, then you could discuss with your waste services area to introduce an availability charge for next year which would most likely be the same as the vacant land charge, if that is lower than the standard charge.
Hope this is of some assistance.

          Hi John
Thanks for your advise. Some very interesting reading in the archives!!!!! If you have a policy related to aggregation of strata units I’d be very interested in reading it.
          Thanks

            Hi
Council has a few stratas where they developer created separate car spaces and storage untis that have their own unit entitlements. I have had a request from a developer to have some of the units aggregated. In my opinion I think this request should be rejected. If you can give me some advise I’d appreciate it.
            thanks

                Hi
If the property is owned by husband and wife do you make them complete a form each or do you let them both put all their details on the one form and both sign in all the required places?
Centrelink have said that they can both sign the one form if there is a place for 2 signatures. Does this mean they can sign the back of the form if necessary?

                        Hi Richard
Isn’t this change related to sale of land for Local Land Services?

                          Hi Trevor.
Inner West have recently changed to allow direct debit as a payment method for quarterly and annual only. (former Ashfield and Leichhardt currently have weekly, fortnightly and monthly) These will be phased out in preparation as we head into our new you beaut CiA software system.
                          Cheers

                              Hi Carla
We ask for a copy of their Local Land Services annual return of stock and land for the previous financial year. You can aslo request copies of receipts for purchases and sale of stock.

I hate to sound repetitive but if you have a look at the La Vie case that Peter Cowman spoke about at the conference this may assist you.

                                  Hi
I have a Housing Aboriginal Corporation requesting exemption from rates. They have provided Council with a copy of their ACNC Charity Register Summary declaring them as a PBI. The rule book of the Corporation states:the objectives of the corporation aims to assist member by:
improving housing, living conditions and general standards of living by the provision of land, housing and other buildings and other services for their use and benefit.
Does having PBI status make them exempt considering their rules?
                                  cheers
