Hi Robert,
CBCity don’t offer any incentives. It was explored some time ago for payment in full at the start of the year, but deemed too expensive for the impact it would have. We haven’t explored payment on time for instalments.

Hi Glynes,
If we are advised that the slab has been dug up, it is removed until there is a slab laid again.

Canterbury-Bankstown (CBCity)Hi Pete,
We are with the Audit office and since their first request a few years ago, where we refused to provide it in an altered state, they haven’t asked for it again. Although, we have a new team this year, so they may ask this time. But my answer will be the same. Our software (Pathway) does not provide the data in an excel or csv format, and we will not be altering the reports and jeopardising the integrity of the data.

Canterbury-Bankstown (CBCity)Hi Tracey,
We haven’t received anything yet. But Payreq also have the function of zipping major agent notices to one email/file. If we get a request, the solution I will be directing them to is to register for digital delivery through Payreq and they can then manage it on their end.
Regards
AndreaHi Darryl,
Thanks for the info. Pension information now sit in NAR as a beneficiary role, and it doesn’t historicise it when a rebate is written back, so I’m not sure how easy it will be able to extract with a query. But I will ask my IT person to have a look at it, or if something can be written using InfoMart.
Thanks
AndreaHi Danielle,
We are also looking to add another layer to our debt management, because seemingly a Rates/Instalment notice, Reminder notice, Instalment notice, Reminder notice, Final notice and Notice of Intent before SOLC is not enough! And so, SMS and/or emails were the next things I was looking at. We have also been advised by our legal agent not to do SMS because of Sec710. I have a meeting with them and our own Legal Counsel this week to see what we can do.

CBCityHi Courtney,
Canterbury-Bankstown (CBCity) has direct debit notation on Instalment Notices. We don’t have anything regarding arrangements or pension rebates. Although, our Customer Service Team are always asking us to include a pension rebate notification on the instalment notice, because that is what they get a lot of calls about at instalment time. I am stilling trying to work out a way for Pathway to be able to extract that info in our Notice extract.

November 11, 2022 at 9:20 am in reply to: Deceased Pensioner Notification of Writeback Letter #22766Hi Pete
At CBCity, we don’t write to deceased accounts through validation. We do code the accounts though, so that the following notation is added to the next year’s rates notice – “Centrelink has instructed Council that the pensioner is no longer eligible. No rebate has granted for this year. A new pension rebate application is required, if applicable”.
The only time we write to anyone regarding a deceased pension writeback is when we have been notified by a family member or solicitor. We haven’t had any adverse feedback regarding the wording on our letters either.

Hi Dani,
I’ve emailed you a copy of Canterbury-Bankstown’s. We don’t have a specific policy in place but have our own internal procedures and checklists.

Hi Matthew,
CBCity recommenced action in April 2021 and then it all crashed again in July 2021. We held off on proceeding further with any of the open actions until early this year. We sent updated balance letters in February/March this year, requesting contact or we will recommence. We did our first full run in April 2022 and have changed from 2 runs a year to every quarter, so we have done April, July and October so far this year. We haven’t increased our threshold either, it is still two full instalments totalling $750 or more. But with our minimums increasing again next year, it is something we will need to look at.
AndreaHi Andrew,
It’s an absolutely for CBCity
Thanks for all the work you are putting into this for us
AndreaHi Dallas,
We send a NOL to any accounts that still have rates outstanding. We used to send one to each and every transfer but it just got too time consuming for the “nicety” of the process. I’m the same as Andrew and have been in numerous discussions over the years with our Communications team to create a Welcome pack/letter but still nothing has eventuated.
I do like Campbelltown’s approach in asking for further contact details. I may look at changing ours up a bit.
Hope this helps
AndreaHi Neil
We cancel from the next quarter, and levy the new properties from that same quarter.
AndreaHi Cherie,
Sorry for late response to this but it is hidden in positions vacant ….
CBCity does small balance write off each quarter for 5c and $5 at 30 June.
AndreaHi Chargie
Former Canterbury did use titles on Rates Notices but former Bankstown didn’t. Now as CBCity we have gone with former Bankstown and don’t use titles on the Rates Notices. We don’t store them in NAR either, unless we are made aware of their titles. We have too many diverse cultural names to be 100% sure we are getting the title correct.
